Pump.fun just moved 436 million to Kraken while memecoin appetite is fading fast

[Pump.fun](http://Pump.fun) the Solana memecoin launchpad has been transferring massive amounts to Kraken since October 15th. We're talking about 436 million in USDC stablecoins moving to the exchange, and onchain analysts say this looks like a major withdrawal from their treasury.

This started happening right after that roughly 19 billion dollar liquidation shock in October that crushed risk appetite for speculative memecoins. Their revenue tells the whole story. It dropped to 27.3 million in November down 53% from September’s 58.9 million. First time below 40 million since July.

A Nansen analyst said retail got burned repeatedly over the past few months so this dropoff is just a continuation of that trend. They also noted this isn’t the first time large [Pump.fun](http://Pump.fun) withdrawals have been spotted, so more wouldn’t be surprising.

Some onchain analysts think the 436 million transfer may be tied to institutional private placements of the PUMP token from June at **$0.004 per token**, meaning this could be moving private sale proceeds rather than dumping on the market. Still, it’s a big treasury move during a downcycle.

[Pump.fun](http://Pump.fun) still holds about 855 million in stablecoins and 211 million worth of Solana tokens according to Arkham. So they’ve got plenty more ammo if they want to keep withdrawing.

One crypto investor put it pretty bluntly saying [Pump.fun](http://Pump.fun) is moving like a full time liquidation machine while everyone else is buying dips that never stop dipping. Kinda sums up how people feel about this setup right now.

When the platform making money off memecoins is pulling hundreds of millions offchain while volumes dry up, it tells you a lot about where we are in the cycle.
