The best stocks to own going into 2026 for a long term investment and why?
As I prepare for 2026, there are a few stocks that are worth keeping for the long term (2+ years) in my opinion. First is Crowdstrike since cyber security is a mandatory spend and not optional. Recent survey identifies 92% of companies need more cyber capabilities and Crowdstrike is the premier company in this sector. Second is Morgan Stanley with their premier wealth management business. The market rises 2 out of 3 years on average and most client pay 1% on those assets. In addition, there are many other ways they make revenue from selling additional products, mergers, trading, skimming basis points on cash. Third is Raytheon with an enormous backlog of orders, premier products in high demand, NATO needing to spend 5% of their GDP, and the US hitting a $1T defense budget with the Golden Dome being planned. And finally a more speculative play in KTOS. Drone warfare is front and center and they are one of the major public drone makers. May make an acquisition target for one of the big players. That’s the core list and looking for great insights from other investors managing their own portfolios.
