When a company in the SP500 purchases another company in the SP500, is that good or bad for investors? Likewise, when a private company purchases an SP500 company?
Recent examples of both include Microsoft gobbling up Activision and the opposite of the Saudi's purchasing EA. You'd think that combining SP500 companies would be good because another company can enter the SP500.. thoughts?
