Lately I’ve been experimenting with using AI as a sort of “trading co-pilot.”
The idea isn’t that it replaces me, but that it keeps me from drifting away from my plan.
Here’s how I’ve been using it:
* I define the style I want to trade (e.g. trend trading).
* I give the AI a structured checklist: identify the trend, mark key levels, spot pullbacks, define entry/exit.
* I treat it like a trading floor risk manager — it enforces rules and won’t let me skip steps.
* I can plug in my portfolio size so it gives exact position sizing, leverage, and risk/reward scenarios.
* Each trade idea comes back summarized as: trend, entry zones, targets, stops, position size.
The biggest value I’ve found: it removes a lot of the emotion.
Instead of “should I ape this pump?” it’s “does it meet the checklist?”
If yes, I have a clear plan. If not, I move on.
Curious if anyone else has tried using AI in this way? For me it feels like having a trading buddy who’s unemotional and rule-based, and it’s already helped me stick to plans I’d otherwise abandon.
