Are the brokers actually buying and selling the shares??
Example:
Investor A will buy a share for $100
Investor B is willing to sell the same share for £98
Investor B sells the share to the broker, then the broker sells the share to investor A. So for a brief moment the broker owns the shares.
Probably an unimportant question but I'd just like to know.
