In the linked post, the OP had mentioned he was selling out and moving to cash (albeit over time, he had been doing it for months and was 55% cash at the time of the post and planning to sell more). Many people, myself included, tried to explain why timing the market is a fools game, but sometimes you have to learn through experience.

Since that post 19 days ago, the S&P500 is up 10% and the Nasdaq is up 17%.

Who knows what's going to happen over the next X number of days, but the point stands...if you try to cash out, buy back into the market, cash out, etc, you're just going to get burned.

You aren't an investing god - stop trying to time the market.
