SRINAGAR, India (AP) — Indian and Pakistani soldiers briefly exchanged fire along their highly militarized frontier in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir, Indian officials said Friday, as tensions soared between the nuclear-armed rivals following a deadly attack on tourists.
Defence minister Khawaja Asif told Sky News his country would "respond in kind" to any attack by New Delhi. It comes amid heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed countries following a shooting that left 26 tourists dead.
##He said: "We will measure our response to whatever is initiated by India. It would be a measured response."If there is an all-out attack or something like that, then obviously there will be an all-out war." When asked by Yalda Hakim if the world should be worried, he replied: "Yes, I think so. The clash between two nuclear powers is always worrisome..."If things get wrong, there could be a tragic outcome of this confrontation."
So why isn't this a bigger topic? Two countries with nuclear weapons and Pakistan saying this could lead to an all out war should be very worrying. We already got so many wars ATM and adding this could really lead to WW3? Am I the only one that's worried? Stock market will take a huge hit once these skirmishes get bigger over the weekend. Mind you that the border skirmishes just started today...
