Hey guys
Anyone with deeper insight into HIMS?
In 2024, they generated approximately €200 million in sales in the weight loss segment.
Now, sales of the original GLP1 medication (semaglutide) are no longer available, and yet HIMS has guided sales of €725 million in the weight loss segment for 2025.
That's more than a threefold increase, even though they're no longer allowed to sell semaglutide.
How is that supposed to work? That can't be a realistic estimate 😅
I'm well aware that some of the sales are also generated through oral weight loss pills and personalized semaglutide dosages (for patients who can't tolerate the "normal" formulation), and that these sales remain unaffected.
But growing from 200 million to 725 million in revenue despite the sales ban can hardly work 🤷
Please convince me otherwise, because I actually find HIMS very attractively valued these days and would be happy to top up at about $24.
But for the reasons mentioned above, there's always the risk of a sales/profit warning
Thank you guys
