The Truth About Engagement on Hive: My Analysis and Experience (ENGLISH SUBTITLES)
In light of the recent debates about engagement on Hive (quantity vs. quality, spam), I analyze Azircon data on comment metrics and share my practical experience comparing the dynamics of Snaps (PeakD) and Threads (InLeo). While Snaps seem to facilitate a high volume of social interactions with lower direct financial return per comment, Threads, although presenting greater difficulty in initial engagement (largely due to the "For You" feed), can generate more significant individual financial rewards through the Leo Power of established users. This exposes a crucial dilemma: what do we really value and incentivize – social volume or individual financial return? I argue that we need to look beyond numerical counts, considering reputation, interaction quality, intent (building vs. extracting) and new perspectives such as the "KE ratio" to define what is truly valuable engagement for the Hive ecosystem. What is your take on this? Leave your comment!
