For someone with just about no stock experience, where would you suggest starting out?

I’m 28. I’ve got a decent job but also a good bit of debt thanks to many poor financial decisions.. lol

I’m not looking to get into the more competitive side of things as I don’t have the knowledge or funds for that. But I do make enough money at this point to hopefully start creating a simple portfolio that will hopefully start to bring some money back into my pocket.

Any suggestions or guidance would be great!
