Is it unreasonable to want to go to cash until this market uncertainty is over?

I'm only in the S&P 500. I'm young but i'm also saving money for parents that might need it sooner and I wouldn't want to lose a significant amount of it hoping Trump just gives up on tariffs. Am I being stupid and emotional or would it not be a bad idea to get out?
