Was about to make my first investment this week, now not sure what to do

I'm super late to investing (mid-30s) and have had a lot of insecurity over it. I know this is fucked up but in a way I was kind of feeling like this crash would be my chance to "catch up." I set up my accounts and transferred some money, started reading up on ETFs etc etc (bc truly I am a straight up beginner), was ready to pull the trigger -- and bam.

I've heard a lot about "you can't time the market" etc etc, yes I get it, DCA was the plan, but now it seems weird to make the first purchase this week after all? Given the insane volatility should I still invest now/stick to the plan of DCA a bit every week? Wait 90 days? Give up on stock market altogether and slink back to my hysa? I'm confused about the stock market on a normal day but now it feels riskier than ever.
