Foolish Exuberance

I’m not crazy enough to think I can time the market, so I’m largely still in but building a larger cash reserve at the moment. But I’m curious what y’all think about today’s bounce on the heels of a tariff “pause” for countries that did not impose reciprocal tariffs.

Today’s jump seems like an over-optimistic reaction. Still have increased tariffs and an ongoing trade war. But the most insane, detached, this is just a nonsensical bounce stock is Apple. Apple saw a giant bounce with the rest of the market despite tariffs still in place and going higher on China, a county on which Apple is still completely dependent for its products.

Is there anything substantive to this bounce or is it the proverbial dead cat?
