I know nothing about stocks, now that the market is crashing, should I be dumping money into stocks?

Title basically. I know practically nothing about stocks. All I know is, when the stock value is low, you buy them, then when there value goes up, you sell for profit.

Well now that the stock market is in free fall, should I be buying up stocks rn? I just got my first job, and was planning on getting a new console but should I just dump the money into the stock market instead?
