Hi all.
Two questions:
1)Where can I learn/relearn about stocks from a neutral source that isn't trying to sell me something?
2) Is it a good idea for me to try investing now while the stock market is down, or should I wait until my debt is paid off?
Details:
I have a degree in business, but my classes were so long ago that the information is long forgotten.
My husband and I have about
*$30K of high interest credit card debt (15-30% - my husband got laid off during covid and we used them to get through),
*$50k of car loans ( 1 truck, 1 car - roughly 7% - could refinance for lower)
*$30k of student loans ( most at around 3-5%)
*$250k mortgage (2.75%)
We have been working to snowball our debt and should have everything but our mortgage paid off within the next 5 years.
Combined, we make $164k per year (about $24k goes to taxes)
