Trump won't back down from his tariffs until he gets what he wants. He wants to get rid of the trade deficit. Trump believes China and Europe have been very unfair to our manufacturers. Hence, the trade deficit. So, he is willing to let the whole world suffer until he gets countries promising to open factories in the U.S. so we can sell them their own product made in the U.S.? Or, are we going to consume everything we produce? Where is the growth in that? Why would anyone going to invest in US when you know recession is likely.
