This WSJ article “ Companies Building New Factories Brace for Higher Costs” - April 8 2025, highlights how in fact building within the USA under a high tariff environment becomes incredibly difficult, if not impossible. Tariffs raise prices/inflation, making any “build it in USA” construction ongoing or in future incredibly expensive and actually goes contrary to the goal. Trump’s current policy needs to be replaced ASAP with something more thoughtful.
