I find it so hard to believe that Trump will keep these tariffs for anything longer than a month. There is no way his advisors haven’t told him of the consequences of these tariffs on the economy.
Spending is contracting(Inflation is slowing down), which means there is only so much of the cost that businesses can pass onto consumers without declining sales. This will most likely lead to people losing jobs and maybe even losing their houses.
I find it hard to believe the party will want to be known as the one that caused a recession on purpose. Surely this is just a move to get something else.
But what could Trump be using tariffs as a bargaining chip to get? Is there anything or are tariffs just the new reality?
