Hey, I'm a U.S. stock investor from Korea. I had been holding Apple for about three years, but I sold it today.
I wish I could have sold it at a higher price, but something I read in a book kept bothering me. One of my favorite investors is Peter lynch. He mentioned that companies with a lot of debt could be at risk during an economic downturn (which I believe will be resolved soon). He also said that if you find another stock more attractive than the one you’re holding, it’s okay to sell.
After reviewing Apple’s financial statements, I felt that its debt levels were too high. On the other hand, I found Google’s financials to be much healthier.
Since the sale has already been made, I can’t change my decision. But this is my first time posting here because I’d love to hear what you guys think. Could you give me some advice on my sell decision today?
