Is it just me or is the overnight market the easiest way to predict movements and profit?
As someone who's been glancing at my portfolio for like every hour lol, I've been noticing this for years now. I think not many Americans notice it since they're all sleeping but I live in another country timezone so this stuff was very noticeable. The overnight market session always seems to go in a very linear direction without much drastic U-turn price movements unlike the intra-day trading. I'm assuming this is partly because the Wallstreet people aren't working at this time busy doing their usual shenanigans so retail traders follow a largely predictable trading pattern.
For example one huge insight I've found is that the overnight price movement tends to completely just mirror and follow the same price movements at market end the majority of the time. And vice versa for a green day. But I notice this happens only if the price movement was very significant in the upward or downward direction during intra-day. This is also why it's common for stocks to reach the most unusual ATHs during overnight period.
Now I'm not thinking of trying to trade overnight at this point but just wondering if anyone can verify my observations? It sure seems like a huge glaring opportunity here a lot of people dont realize
