[Meta] Can we have some clarity on what news posts are allowed and what aren't?

I recently posted [this](https://old.reddit.com/r/stocks/comments/1jl6x7a/trump_threatens_more_tariffs_if_eu_works_with/) thread as broad market news, but it was rather swiftly removed because apparently it was not bringing up stocks or the market (despite directly bringing up a discussion about the S&P at the bottom of the post and the potential impacts). But fair enough. I guessed they're trying to cut down on news threads or something.

However [this ](https://old.reddit.com/r/stocks/comments/1jlknx9/breaking_the_eu_is_considering_hitting_us/)post is now on the front page and it's a very similar story: tariff threats. The difference being that the poster does not directly bring up the stock market or any individual stocks (the reason mine was removed).

I've had other broad market news stories/discussions banned previously too for being "political/off-topic".

Personally, I think this is all extremely important stuff that we need to be aware of as investors so I'd like to see them stay, especially since it's not like there's much else going on in this sub, and I think it's good to see what the sentiment is and get other people's thoughts. The stories themselves aren't really the important thing imo, it's just a prompt for further discussion.

I get people might be getting a bit sick of tariff news at the moment - I know I am - but I still think it's important for us to keep abreast of what's going on as it's presenting an ever-increasing investment risk.

But in any case - can the mods please clarify what news posts will be allowed moving forwards? It seems there's a lot of inconsistency in how the rules are being applied at the moment.
