Boss says do not sell

One of my go to indicators in evaluating a stock is the Insider Activity posted. Yield, P/E and Cash metrics are the first screens, then use IA to see what those in the know are doing.

My biggest gains tend to happen when P/E's go to the stratosphere, but my biggest losses were when exiting at the wrong time. Some bruises with unchecked PE's "popping". In retrospect, Insider Activity would have been my canary.

So when today the big boss said don't sell his stock, a comparison of insider activity was needed. The results are interesting.

Generally because of stock options and grants, the selling is always higher than buying. But zero? When there is so much publicity, the quiet actions of insiders become even more exciting to view.

Auto stocks have been a rough sector for a long time with rare exception.

(disclosure: I am not affiliated with or invested directly in any of the stocks in this table, this is a thought exercise about contrasting publically available data and statements.)
