I knew a guy back in 2013 who had stacked some BTC. Just some college kid, barely scraping by. Bitcoin was $100.
But he wanted a car. And he was obsessed with getting a Rolex.
Didn’t have cash, so he sold his BTC.
Not even a month later?
Crashed the car. Had to sell at a loss just to fix it.
The Rolex?
Gone within a year. Probably flipped it for scraps.
Fast forward a few years…
BTC hit $20K.
Then $69K.
That BTC? Would’ve been life-changing.
Instead, he traded a completely different future for some spare cash and a car that didn’t last.
Today, Bitcoin is heading for six figures.
And my guy still won’t talk about it.
Lesson? When you’re holding a piece of the financial future, you don’t trade it for something that depreciates.
Some people flip assets. Others hold them and build empires.
