No its not the tariffs, the market has been waiting to correct itself for the last two years
Per this yahoo news article (yes I know):
"If 2023 was about being surprised to the upside, there is more risk in 2025 of being surprised to the downside…”
Basically talk of the trump tariffs, or war in ukraine etc etc are all red herrings. The market has honestly been on an unprecedented growth cycle that almost felt disconnected from actual valuations.
A market slow down in 2025 could be totally warranted. But Ofc people love to blame politics for controlling market cycles when 9/10 this is never the case.
