One of the biggest places the federal government did waste money was with micro purchases which fall underneath government reporting thresholds. You can find reports going even back to 2014 where people were spending billions of dollars on micro purchases.
There is one Starbucks for every 7,000 people in Washington DC.
Starbucks recently laid off 1,000 people claiming it was to streamline operations, but I believe they are prepared for a significant downturn in business as the federal government tightens the belt.
