SHALL WE PLAY A GAME? (I love the 80s..and we are headed back!)

When I say that phrase I hear it in the movie computer voice. Anyway, I vaguely remember the stock market crash of 1987. I was young but I used to play a stock trading game on my “IBM Compatible” computer which really wasn’t but that is how they sold you computers back then. It had a ticker that would scroll across the screen and you could buy and sell stocks in made up companies.

No one really knows where the stock market is heading the rest of the year but I could make a pretty good argument we are moving towards stagflation temporarily. I can see a scenario of a weakening economy with persistent inflation. So, if the market were to move negative the rest of the year, what are your picks to see the largest downside moves?

My picks:

TSLA - Obvious reasons…its stock prices is built on a dream that is becoming a nightmare
PINS - Low revenue growth outside the U.S, ADU growth slowing down, It is mostly ads now and almost unusable. 25B market came to 3.5B revenue.
SNAP - 11 years in and still can’t make a profit.

Also, if federal grant money really does decline, and cuts to Medicaid, pick any public health care stock and buy puts. If they cancel infrastructure contracts, pick most of the shovel companies like Caterpillar and buy puts. If they cancel the farmer subsidies, buy puts in John Deere. So many others that are going to be hurt.

So what is your pick for the largest declining stock of 2025 between 2/25 and 12/31?
