Have not held a dividend stock since the early,1990s it was Fastenal. Ended up with messing up the paperwork which end delaying dividends payout. I got the dividend I was due but took months to get everything done. I am assuming all the paperwork is done over the internet now. What would be and acceptable turn around time? Should I expect an email or letter with the dividend date and a notice that I am eligible for it? Or does that depend on the company?
