I never thought I would seriously consider using a hedge strategy for a bond fund, but here we are. I’ve noticed some bond funds (SGOV) have no options chains. I means it kind of makes sense since options are kinda dumb for a dividend based etf. Other bond funds like BIV do have options.
Yes, I know that of the clown car running the executive branch messes with the debt, the markets are going to crater in all assets classes. However, I am wondering if anyone else is considering something like a zero cost collar wheel on bond holdings. Since it is covered I would still get to collect the dividend.
