So I took some losses on AMD last few weeks. I decided to get out of my shares and harvest my losses. Problem is, I still want to be invested in AMD, especially at these prices. So I purchased some 2026 Sept 210C options. My broker couldn’t confirm if it was considered a wash sale. They said it’s up to the IRS but I’m confused. I thought the broker had to classify the sale.
