Okay, so here's the idea: I know how shorting works (kinda) and puts (kinda)... BUT, I don't think they make sense for long-term. I'm looking for something on the flip-side of a buy and hold lol. Does that make sense?
Like, if you expect a company to do well over the next decade, you might buy their stock. That makes sense. Now, say you expect another company to do really terrible and you want cash in on that. You can't just short something for a decade lol. You can't buy a put for 10 years into the future. But, yeah, you fully expect a gradual deflation.
