DPRO and counter UAS, kinda interesting but still a tough small cap setup

been messing around looking at drone names again and DPRO came up while i was digging into counter UAS stuff.

the whole drone hype thing doesn’t really do much for me anymore. everyone already knows drones are getting used more. what’s actually kinda interesting now is the defensive side, since cheap drones are turning into a real headache for military sites, infrastructure, borders, and public safety.

spotting them is one thing. tracking them is another. actually stopping them without messing up everything else is probably the hardest part.

Draganfly’s been around for a while doing UAV stuff, public safety, industrial work, and some defense related things. what caught my eye again was the DEVCOM Army Research Lab work with F4 Defense, since that leans more into counter UAS instead of just another generic drone headline.

that said, this doesn’t feel like some easy, clean setup. it’s still a small cap. stuff like cash, dilution, margins, real follow on contracts, and execution matter way more than just the theme.

counter UAS feels like a legit problem that needs solving, but DPRO still has to prove it can actually turn that into something real.

anyone else looked at this one, or is this just one of those small cap defense names that sounds cooler as a theme than it actually is as a company?
