A new target can change the way an exploration project comes together

Hey guys, NovaRed quietly added a promising new Plume target blending copper, gold, and platinum at Wilmac.

NovaRed's latest announcement wasn't built around a flashy drill intercept. Instead, the company added another exploration target that could shape where work happens next.

The new area is called Plume, and NovaRed has identified it as a copper-gold-platinum target after combining historical exploration records, geological mapping, and geochemical data. The target covers roughly 2,063 hectares and is already included in the company's plans for one of four induced polarization (IP) and audio-magnetotelluric (AMT) geophysical surveys scheduled during the 2026 field season.

I like the order they're following here. The company is building a larger picture before deciding where to spend money on drilling. Each new dataset helps narrow the search, making it easier to focus on the areas with the strongest geological support.

That approach matters because Wilmac is a large property, covering about 16,078 hectares. Exploring ground of that size without a clear ranking system can become expensive very quickly. Adding another well-defined target gives the field team another priority area instead of spreading resources across the entire property.

The project is still in the early exploration stage, so there are plenty of unanswered questions. Geophysical surveys, mapping, sampling, and eventually drilling will determine whether Plume has the potential suggested by the historical data.

For now, I see this as steady progress. Every target that moves from scattered historical records into a planned exploration program gives the company another opportunity to test its geological model and learn more about the property.

Early days, but smart targeting like this builds real momentum. Your thoughts on Plume?
