I opened two vertical credit spreads on TSLA and MSFT, both of which expired on 02/14/2025, and both were assigned on Friday morning. Unfortunately, it was a challenging day for me, as I had to attend a workshop meeting with my boss all day and didn’t have a chance to manage the situation. By the time I was able to review it, the market had already closed, and I couldn’t take action.
I assumed Webull would handle the situation by closing the long positions and selling the assigned shares, but it didn’t. As of today, I still see my positions as open (see image attached). What will happen to my account when the market opens the next day? Should I sell the assigned shares during pre-market and close the short legs as soon as the market opens?
