How can I reduce my exposure to US equities given potential political risk?

I’ve been reading about some radical political theories (including 'Dark Enlightenment') suggesting that the US could shift toward an autocratic, neo-reactionary model—essentially a fundamental breakdown of the current democratic institution and move toward a network-state with a “gov-corp” style of governance. While this is still very theoretical and speculative (but most worrying this crazy theory is looking more and more like reality given Trump's first 30 days), I’m increasingly concerned about the potential for increased political and regulatory uncertainty that could impact US equities.

My current portfolio is heavily weighted in US stocks, and I'm thinking about strategies to hedge or reduce exposure if such a scenario were to unfold. I’m particularly worried about:

* Heightened volatility and political risk premiums
* Potential capital flight and shifts in investor sentiment
* The long-term structural impact on corporate governance and profitability

What are some strategies or alternative asset classes you’ve found effective in mitigating this kind of risk? Would diversification into international equities, commodities, or maybe even cash be a smart move? I'm interested in both short-term tactical adjustments and longer-term hedging ideas.

Given the number of Tech-Bro Billionaires at his inauguration they are definitely pushing some sort of agenda, so I don't know how US tech equities will fare vs other US equities... or whether they will just be there to sweep up cheap stock/land/who-knows-what.

Some info about my positions: I'm heavily exposed to US equities, and in particular US tech equities. I hold these in UK tax efficient wrappers (S&S ISA, SIPP, etc.). I hold a significant portion in S&P 500 ETF, a tech carve-out of that as well MSCI World Momentum (heavy US exposure), as well ETFs in cloud computing, automation, robotics, fintech, healthcare and some balanced and value ones - again lots of US equity exposure. I also have positions in individual US tech stocks - think Apple, Amazon, Nvidea, Microstrategy, Broadcom, Microsoft etc.
